A high-protein chocolate milk drink claims to better help athletes recover

I have recently got into a pretty heated debate with a student from my colleges exercise science program. He claims that according to his programs main professor, whey protein is a total waste of money and can be easily replaced by chocolate milk. He claims that although milk contains little protein the amino acid content offers more advantages than whey. I say this is total crap, as many conflicting opinions as there are in the field of nutrition and exercise whey protein is as close to a fully accepted thing as I have ever seen, nearly everyone says it is the most important part of gaining quality mass. I know aminos are important but I also supplement with them. Anyone know if there is any truth to these claims about chocolate milk?

    I agree you can’t beat whey but there is a place for milk as well in your supplement routine.

    When I plan food and meals, I lead with nutrients in mind. I look for the foods that will fulfill the nutritional requirements of my kids.
